5. After the storm, there was a lot that I couldn't do by myself. I asked my regular yard men if they could cut the trees down, normally, they charge quite a lot for anything extra. This time they answered with a generous heart and agreed to cut down 3 trees and clear an entire sidewalk covered in shrubs for $30.00! I couldn't believe it!I decided to use my $5.00 to give this family something extra for their "show of kindness". Linda C.
6. When I was in Shanghai, I converted my $5 to 30 RMB. I kept it in coins and handed it out to all the homeless people or disabled people who were begging in the park. I was able to help a lot of people this way. I wasn't able to tell them to pass it on but I am sure my acts of kindness will spur other acts of kindness in the future.
7. I used it to reward my Womens group by bringing them some pastries. The group is a spiritual book discussion group but has become a support group, a place to turn for prayers and a group of friends. I enjoyed sharing your gift with them. Cheryl
8. .I could not wait to give it a try. I personally went to my church the following morning after reading Emily's story and give the cashier at the little coffee shop inside $5.00 and asked that it pick up the tab for the next few people that came in. When I went in for coffee this morning ( my daily routine) I was surprised to find that MY coffee had already been paid for ! In fact, probably the next 15 folks that came in would be paid for because my gift that was given just 3 days ago had tripled ! Amazing.
9. I recently visited China with my family and wanted to do a good deed there. My step-dad knew of a man who had cerebal palsy and due to his disability he was reduced to begging. He didnt speak English so we had a note translated for him, telling him about this project and how we were giving him a gift today but we wanted him to pass on a kindness to someone else whenever he was able. I really think he appreciated this because it reminded him that even though he doesnt have money to spare, he could pass on an act of kindness to someone else.
